Celestica Revenue Surges 53% to $4.05 Billion in Q1 2026

Celestica Inc., an electronics manufacturing services provider, reported revenue of $4.05 billion for the three months ending March 31, 2026, up 53% from $2.65 billion in the same quarter a year earlier. Operating income rose to $272.1 million from $128.8 million in the prior-year quarter, a gain of 111%. Gross profit climbed to $437.2 million from $273.9 million, reflecting an 11% margin on revenue compared to 10% a year earlier.
The company's cost of goods sold increased to $3.61 billion from $2.37 billion, tracking the higher revenue volume. Research and development expenses more than doubled to $41.2 million from $17.6 million, while selling, general and administrative expenses rose modestly to $117.4 million from $112.5 million.
Diluted earnings per share came in at $1.83, up from $0.74 in Q1 2025, based on 115.7 million weighted average diluted shares outstanding versus 116.9 million a year earlier.
Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
Total assets expanded to $8.26 billion as of March 31, 2026, from $7.21 billion at the end of December 2025. Inventory grew to $2.67 billion from $2.19 billion, while accounts payable surged to $3.09 billion from $1.87 billion at year-end.
Cash and cash equivalents declined to $378.0 million from $595.6 million three months earlier. The company generated $356.3 million in cash from operations during the quarter, more than double the $130.3 million in Q1 2025. Investing activities consumed $218.4 million in cash, and financing activities used $355.5 million.
Total stockholders' equity stood at $2.10 billion at quarter-end, down from $2.22 billion at December 31, 2025. Long-term debt remained minimal at $51.4 million, compared to $48.9 million at the end of 2025.
