Strategic Education Declares $0.60 Quarterly Dividend

Strategic Education, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRA), a provider of higher education and workforce training programs for working adults, declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.60 per share of common stock. The dividend will be paid on March 16, 2026 to shareholders of record as of March 9, 2026.

Fourth Quarter Financial Performance

Strategic Education reported income from operations of $12.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, up from $10.7 million in the same period of 2024. The operating income margin improved to 18.8% from 16.1% year-over-year.

On a constant currency basis, operating income was $12.4 million with a margin of 19.0% compared to $10.7 million and 16.1% in the prior year period.

Balance Sheet and Cash Flow

As of December 31, 2025, the company held $153.1 million in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities with no debt outstanding under its revolving credit facility.

Cash provided by operations in 2025 totaled $198.2 million, up from $169.3 million in 2024. Free cash flow for the year reached $153.9 million compared to $128.8 million in the prior year.

Capital expenditures for 2025 were $44.3 million versus $40.6 million in 2024. When including cloud computing investments, total capital expenditures were $61.0 million compared to $56.8 million in the prior year.

Consolidated bad debt expense as a percentage of revenue improved to 3.8% in the fourth quarter of 2025 from 4.5% in the same period of 2024.
