The dividend increase follows a record-setting second fiscal quarter for the Boise, Idaho-based chipmaker. Micron posted revenue of $23.9 billion, gross margin of 74.4%, and diluted earnings per share of $12.07 for the quarter ended in fiscal 2026. All figures represent new company records.

Chairman, President and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said the board's decision reflects confidence in sustained business strength. The company set records across revenue, gross margin, earnings per share, and free cash flow in the fiscal second quarter, driven by strong demand, tight industry supply, and execution.
Micron generated adjusted free cash flow of $6.9 billion in the quarter while investing $5.0 billion in net capital expenditures. The company ended the period with cash, marketable investments, and restricted cash totaling $16.7 billion.
Second Quarter Financial Performance
Net income for the fiscal second quarter reached $13.8 billion on a GAAP basis and $14.0 billion on a non-GAAP basis. Operating margin hit 67.6% GAAP and 69.0% non-GAAP, compared to 22.0% and 24.9% respectively in the same period last year.
The Cloud Memory Business Unit led revenue generation at $7.7 billion with a 74% gross margin and 66% operating margin. Core Data Center revenue reached $5.7 billion with a 74% gross margin, while Mobile and Client brought in $7.7 billion with a 79% gross margin. The Automotive and Embedded segment contributed $2.7 billion at a 68% gross margin.
Third Quarter Outlook
Micron projects third quarter fiscal 2026 revenue of $33.5 billion, plus or minus $750 million, with gross margin of approximately 81%. The company expects diluted earnings per share of $19.15 on a non-GAAP basis, plus or minus $0.40. Operating expenses are forecast at approximately $1.40 billion on a non-GAAP basis.
