Levi Strauss Revenue Jumps 14% to $1.74 Billion in Q1 FY2026

Levi Strauss & Co. (NYSE: LEVI), a global apparel company known for its denim jeans and casual wear, reported net revenue of $1.74 billion for the first quarter of fiscal 2026 ending March 1, 2026, a 14% increase from $1.53 billion in the same period last year. Read more earnings reports.

Operating income rose to $198.7 million from $191.6 million in the prior-year quarter. The company posted diluted earnings per share of $0.45, up from $0.34 a year earlier.

Gross profit climbed to $1.08 billion from $947.6 million, while cost of goods sold increased to $664.2 million from $579.2 million. Selling, general and administrative expenses rose to $871.7 million from $749.3 million.

Cash from operations surged to $211.5 million in the quarter, compared to $52.5 million in the prior-year period. The company used $284.1 million in financing activities, up from $97.5 million last year, while cash from investing activities swung to a positive $26.3 million from negative $71.1 million.

Total assets declined to $6.57 billion as of March 1, 2026, from $6.85 billion as of November 30, 2025. Cash and cash equivalents stood at $716.6 million, down from $757.9 million at the prior period end.

The company's total liabilities decreased to $4.37 billion from $4.57 billion. Long-term debt rose slightly to $1.05 billion from $1.04 billion. Inventory fell to $1.12 billion from $1.24 billion at the end of the prior quarter.

Accounts receivable decreased to $728.9 million from $774.7 million, while accounts payable dropped to $487.6 million from $597.6 million.

Levi Strauss reported income tax expense of $51.1 million for the quarter, compared to $36.4 million in the prior-year period. The company recorded $600,000 in income from discontinued operations, versus a $6.9 million loss last year.

The weighted average diluted share count decreased to 394.2 million shares from 400.0 million shares in the prior-year quarter.
