Getty Realty Net Income Surges 80% to $26.6M in Q1 2026

Getty Realty Corp., a real estate investment trust specializing in net lease properties, reported net income of $26.6 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2026, an 80% increase from $14.8 million in the year-earlier period. Total revenue for the three months ending March 31 climbed 10.5% to $57.8 million from $52.3 million in the prior-year quarter. Operating income jumped 44.8% to $38.3 million compared with $26.4 million a year earlier.

Interest expense ticked up 2.4% to $12.0 million from $11.7 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2025. The company carried long-term debt of $993.7 million as of March 31, down slightly from $995.0 million at year-end 2025.

Cash generated from operations rose to $33.1 million for the quarter from $28.7 million in the same period last year. Investing activities consumed $26.4 million in cash compared with $10.8 million in Q1 2025, while financing activities used $11.4 million versus $21.1 million a year earlier.

The company paid dividends of $30.2 million during the quarter, up from $26.9 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2025. Cash and cash equivalents stood at $3.7 million as of March 31, down from $8.4 million at the end of December 2025.

Total assets increased to $2.18 billion as of March 31 from $2.17 billion three months earlier. Stockholders' equity grew to $1.09 billion from $1.07 billion at year-end 2025.

Outstanding shares increased to 60.5 million as of March 31 from 59.8 million at the end of December 2025. Weighted average diluted shares for the quarter were 59.9 million compared with 55.2 million in the prior-year period.
