Capital Returns Program

The dividend declaration came alongside eBay's fourth quarter 2025 results announcement. During the fourth quarter, eBay returned $756 million to stockholders, consisting of $625 million in share repurchases and $131 million in cash dividends. The company repurchased approximately 7 million shares during the period.

eBay's Board also authorized an incremental $2.0 billion under the company's stock repurchase program. As of December 31, 2025, approximately $798 million remained available under the repurchase authorization before the new addition.

Fourth Quarter Financial Performance

eBay reported fourth quarter 2025 revenue of $3.0 billion, up 15% on an as-reported basis and 13% on an FX-neutral basis. Gross Merchandise Volume totaled $21.2 billion, up 10% as-reported and 8% FX-neutral.

The company generated $595 million in operating cash flow and $478 million in free cash flow during the quarter. GAAP earnings per diluted share came in at $1.14, while non-GAAP earnings per diluted share reached $1.41.

eBay's cash and cash equivalents and non-equity investments portfolio stood at $4.8 billion as of December 31, 2025.

First Quarter 2026 Outlook

For the first quarter of 2026, eBay guided revenue between $3.00 billion and $3.05 billion, representing FX-neutral year-over-year growth of 13% to 15%. The company expects Gross Merchandise Volume of $21.5 billion to $21.9 billion, reflecting 10% to 12% FX-neutral growth.

Diluted GAAP earnings per share are projected at $1.14 to $1.20, with non-GAAP earnings per share expected in the range of $1.53 to $1.59.
