Bion Environmental Narrows H1 2026 Net Loss 39% to $936,450 as Operating Expenses Fall

Bion Environmental Technologies narrowed its net loss to $936,450 for the six months ending December 31, 2025, a 39% improvement from the $1.55 million loss reported for the same period a year earlier. Operating expenses dropped 42% to $759,000 from $1.31 million in the prior-year period. Research and development spending totaled $14,822, up modestly from $13,611 a year earlier.

For the three months ending December 31, 2025, Bion posted a net loss of $355,121 compared to $374,353 in the same quarter of the prior year. Operating expenses for the quarter fell to $282,424 from $343,692.

Interest expense nearly doubled during the second quarter to $72,722 from $30,675 a year earlier. For the six-month period, interest expense declined to $177,513 from $236,267.

The company burned through $421,093 in operating cash during the six months, slightly better than the $465,211 consumed in the year-ago period. Bion raised $422,965 from financing activities, primarily offsetting the operational cash drain.

Total assets stood at $34,641 as of December 31, 2025, up from $29,233 six months earlier. Cash holdings declined to $6,313 from $31,764 a year earlier. The company carried $6.27 million in total liabilities against a negative stockholders' equity of $6.28 million.

Bion reported 57.3 million shares outstanding as of the period end, up from 56.7 million six months prior. The company posted a loss per share of $0.02 for the six-month period compared to $0.03 in the prior year.
