Fourth Quarter Performance

The dividend increase accompanies Best Buy's fourth quarter results for the period ended January 31, 2026. The Minneapolis-based company reported revenue of $13.81 billion, down slightly from $13.95 billion in the year-ago quarter. Comparable sales declined 0.8% versus a 0.5% increase last year.

Diluted earnings per share reached $2.56 compared to $0.54 in the prior-year quarter. Adjusted diluted EPS was $2.61 versus $2.58 last year. Operating income as a percentage of revenue expanded to 5.2% from 1.6% in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025.

For the full fiscal year 2026, Best Buy generated revenue of $41.69 billion and adjusted diluted EPS of $6.43. The company's domestic segment posted comparable sales growth of 0.4%, while international comparable sales increased 2.3%.

Capital Returns

In the fourth quarter, Best Buy returned $272 million to shareholders through $199 million in dividends and $73 million in share repurchases. For the full fiscal year 2026, total capital returns reached $1.07 billion, comprising $801 million in dividends and $273 million in share buybacks.

The company expects to spend approximately $300 million on share repurchases during fiscal 2027. Best Buy projects fiscal 2027 adjusted diluted EPS in the range of $6.30 to $6.60.
