The Arlington, Virginia-based company announced the dividend alongside a significant expansion of its share repurchase program. The Board of Directors increased the buyback authorization from $150 million to $200 million and extended the program through January 31, 2030.

David Watson, President and Chief Executive Officer, said the expanded buyback authorization reflects the company's sustained cash generation and robust balance sheet. He cited strong demand for the company's services as the company enters its twentieth year building power infrastructure.

Argan specializes in engineering, procurement and construction of natural gas-fired power plants and renewable energy facilities through its Gemma Power Systems and Atlantic Projects Company operations. The company also owns The Roberts Company, an industrial construction and fabrication business, and SMC Infrastructure Solutions, which provides teledata infrastructure services.
