First-Quarter Business Performance

Abbott reported 13.2 percent sales growth in its Medical Devices segment on a reported basis and 8.5 percent on a comparable basis in the first quarter. The growth was driven by double-digit increases in Electrophysiology, Heart Failure and Rhythm Management.

In Diabetes Care, sales of continuous glucose monitors grew 14.2 percent on a reported basis and 7.6 percent on a comparable basis.

Financial Guidance

The company projects full-year 2026 comparable sales growth of 6.5 percent to 7.5 percent. Abbott expects full-year 2026 adjusted diluted earnings per share of $5.38 to $5.58, which includes $0.20 of dilution related to the acquisition of Exact Sciences.

For the second quarter of 2026, Abbott projects adjusted diluted earnings per share of $1.25 to $1.31.
